Viola Beiroa Course Construction
The 1st October, the International Day of Music, began under the guidance of master Alísio Saraiva and with the support of the Municipality and the Idanhense Philharmonic, with the Viola Beiroa Course Construction at the Municipal Market of Idanha-a-Nova. This project revives one of the most representative traditional instruments of this region, following Manuel Moreira’s model, one of the last and best known Viola Beiroa players from the village of Penha Garcia in Idanha-a-Nova county. This course will be held every weekend in this municipal space over four months.
