Francisco de Paiva Boléo

Francisco P. Boleo

The name of Francisco de Paiva Boléo, historical conductor of the centenary Philharmonic Idanhense and author of the hymn “Our Lady of Almortão”, was attributed to a street in the village of Idanha-a-Nova.

The inauguration of the new street aims to recognize the legacy of this musician, born in the municipality of Seia, who at the beginning of the twentieth century resided in Idanha-a-Nova, where he served as music teacher and conductor of the Idanhense Philharmonic, between 1899 and 1910.
